Philly celebrates another fall weekend with a host of festivals and cultural celebrations as well as more frightfully fun Halloween events.

Residents and visitors can celebrate Día De Los Muertos at the Fleisher Art Memorial and LOVE Park. The two-day celebrations include festive altars and performances that invite people to learn more about the Mexican holiday that supports the spiritual journeys of lost loved ones (Saturday and Sunday).

Also on Saturday and Sunday, Peddler’s Village hosts its 46th annual Apple Festival. In addition to pies, jams and tarts, visitors can find plenty of sweet deals at the shops, enjoy live music and check out the entertainment for kids.

Nerdtino returns to Taller Puertorriqueño on Saturday! The third annual Latinx comic book festival features cosplay, video games and appearances by comic creators and pop culture stars.

And the start of a new month means First Friday and First Sunday. Stores and galleries around the city prop open their doors Friday evening for sales and special events, while select museums like the Barnes Foundation welcome visitors for free on Sunday.

Book the perks-packed Visit Philly Overnight Hotel Package for an easy start to the long weekend. Valued at up to $214, the package is a great base itinerary featuring free hotel parking, free tickets to select museums and a $25 restaurant card for Garces Group Philadelphia restaurants, plus passes for the PHLASH Downtown Loop for traveling around the city.
